Ricardo Bofill, the most international of Catalan architects, is also in China. His long international experience, coupled with the fact that he runs one of the biggest architectural offices in Spain, makes him the best candidate to enter into the Chinese market. In fact, his first experience was back in 1993, well before the avalanche of information that we receive nowadays from the Asiatic giant. The project that was signed was for a city in the Nan Sha port, in the south of the country, with a population of 700.000. After a pause of a decade, Bofill has returned to China, and has done so in full force over the last three years. He has over ten projects in construction inBeijing, amongst which there is a luxury residentialcomplex, a hotel in the fashionable area and a city dedicated to biotechnology.
