2001, Prague, Czech Republic
The third phase in the Nový Karlín development, Crystal Karlín, will be a new build administrative centre, on Pernerova street amounting to 27,000 square meters, with construction scheduled to be completed in the final quarter of 2002. Designed in the shape of the letter "c", at the foot of Vítkov, Crystal Karlín will reflect the curves of Pernerova street. The sloping glass façade will rise to a height of twenty-two metres. For the convenience of crystal's occupants the project calls for 450 underground parking places on two levels and 12 lifts, ensuring comfortable communication between the floors. The building will feature an in-house restaurant, and offices accommodation shall be light, flexible and encompass the very latest technology. Crystal will contain conference facilities, a lecture hall and supporting social areas, commanding magnificent views of Prague castle and the old town.
