Ricardo Bofill Levi was born in 1939 in Barcelona to a family of the Catalan cultural bourgeoisie, supportive of his earliest endeavours in architecture – Emili, the father, was a local property developer and builder himself. As the founder of the Taller de Arquitectura, Ricardo Bofill’s enduring exploration of diverse cultures and stylistic approaches laid the foundation for the current activities of RBTA. Today, in the function of Chairman, he oversees the work of our team in the plurality of its skills and expertise, synthesizing talent and a natural forward-looking vision.

Ricardo joined RBTA in 1991 after graduating from Harvard University (Degree in Architecture). He is currently President and Chief Architect at Bofill Arquitectura. With 25 years of experience at RBTA, he has expertise in the design of large-scale masterplans, smart cities, public facilities, residential schemes, office buildings and mix-use compounds. mix-use.

Jean-Pierre Carniaux’s design work in the last 42 years has ranged from the design of the National Theater of Catalonia, a 240.000 m2 development for a district of Montpellier in Antigone, including housing, offices and commercial areas, to the design of perfume bottles for Christian Dior and the Shiseido Headquarter in Tokyo.

He has participated in the projects of the new airport of Barcelona, a 50 floors skyscraper in Chicago, and a Palace of Congress in Madrid. His work has taken him to Moscow, Paris, New York City, Montreal, Tokyo, Prague, Beijing, Shanghai.
