Leningrad Center has become a unique event venue in Saint Petersburg. RBTA’s creative repurposing project for the former Leningrad Panoramic Cinema offers a dynamic mix of culture, entertainment and media.

The sensitive renovation of the former movie theatre “Leningrad” in Saint Petersburg’s central district, involved a major modernization program, which included a flexible mix of spaces: a theatre hall for a large variety of events – from fashion shows to theatre performances – a VIP club, and a top floor restaurant with panoramic views over the city and Tavricheskiy gardens.

The 340-seat main hall provides upgraded equipment to meet modern standards and ensure maximum flexibility to accommodate a wide variety of configurations. Fitted out with the latest audio and digital broadcast systems, the building’s spaces incorporate sound proofing materials throughout to guarantee optimal acoustic
performance.

This vibrant facility completely refurbished by RBTA’s team offers both intimate and dynamic performance spaces.A new urban multifunctional venue, Leningrad Centre has become a vibrant catalyst and promoter of cultural activities, and a innovative creative platform.

RBTA lead a multitalented team that included Russian experts and artists, such as Felix Mikhailov – now the artistic director of the theater – famous fashion designer Valentin Yudashkin that has greatly contributed to the venue’s success with the design of the rich, dramatic interiors and décor, which combine with the neutral palette and depurated lines of the publicly welcoming spaces designed by Taller Design.
