Consisting of two linear buildings connected at their intersection by a tower structure, this 113-apartment complex was part of Barcelona’s Olympic Village program to accommodate the athletes of the 1992 Summer Games.

The ground floor is occupied by shops opening onto the street side; while on the opposite side the scheme provides private gardens for the first floor apartments. The south façade is setback to enhance opportunities for views and to guarantee privacy.

 

Reminiscent of the Catalan building traditions, the façades widely incorporate the use of exposed brick.
