Ricardo Bofill Taller de Arquitectura and Moscow’s based architectural company Masters Plan win international competition for the design of Vernadsky Prospect District.

The consortium formed by Ricardo Bofill Taller de Arquitectura and Masters Plan is one of the winning teams of the competition for the development of concepts for five experimental sites under an ambitious urban renovation program launched by Moscow city authorities in April 2017.

The competition results define typology and town-planning principles that can be applied in the implementation of the entire renovation program.

With a total area of 120 hectares, the project for Vernadsky Prospect District represents a new typology of residential development to improve the quality of Moscow’s urban environment.
