In the 1950s, the new building for Rochas broke with the discreet continuity of the facades on rue François I. The project by RBTA entails the replacement of the existing facade of the building with a light curtain-wall facade, a vibrant combination of glass and plated stone.
The newer façade presents a classical design in Vicenza stone with incrustations of sparkling golden nickel framing around the windows.
The body of the building is divided into three orders over two levels, freeing the glass bays which are essential to the partitioned offices. A thick, horizontal band separates the upper floors of the building...
